Rogers may be the longest of shots, but his story is extremely interesting, as is his potential spot amongst the Buffalo Bills wide receivers. Rogers was not even selected in this season’s NFL Draft due to trouble off the field, but the Bills saw enough in the Tennessee Tech receiver to sign him and give him a shot. The good news for Rogers is that nobody will be confusing the Buffalo receivers with those of the Atlanta Falcons anytime soon, as the Bills depth chart is sprinkled with names of other rookies and unproven players outside of Stevie Johnson. Like Stedman Bailey, Rogers is the less-hyped rookie receiver on his team (Buffalo picked Robert Woods 41st overall), but with a pool of young players in training camp, a surprise player could certainly stand out and that player could be Rogers. With solid NFL receiver size (6’3’’, 206 lbs), this is definitely a player to watch this summer as preseason training camp battles shake out.
