Like a few of the other receivers we have covered, Quinton Patton’s 2013 situation will be molded by the receivers around him. Patton was selected 128th in the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers to add wide receiver depth behind star wideout Michael Crabtree. Now THAT was a good idea! With the devastating Achilles injury of Crabtree, the 49ers are now left with old-timer Anquan Boldin and a slew of young, unproven pass catchers. Patton could use this offseason to work his way up the San Francisco depth chart, and with the likes of A.J. Jenkins and Ricardo Lockette in his way, Patton could certainly find himself receiving steady targets from Colin Kaepernick.
