Seahawks DL Michael Bennett Carted Off Field
By Allen Kim
Seattle Seahawks DL Michael Bennett was carted off the field in the second quarter of their Week 4 matchup against the Houston Texans. Bennett was injured after he hit Texans QB Matt Schaub just after he got off a throw and his head snapped backward violently. He was down on the turf for several minutes before he was able to move.
After being looked at by the medical staff, a cart was brought onto the field to take Bennett off. Bennett was able to move his arms while being carted off the field, but it was still a very unsettling sight to see.
According to John Clayton of ESPN, Bennett has a lower back injury. He was taken to the hospital, and the good news is that he has feeling in all extremities.
We’ll keep you updated as more news about his status comes through.
Update: Bennett's CT scans came back negative, and he's set to leave the hospital and return to the stadium to join his teammates.
