Seattle's Sidney Rice Leaves For Treatment In Switzerland
By Allen Kim
The Seattle Seahawks receiving corps has even more concerns after it was revealed today by Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN that WR Sidney Rice left camp to undergo non-surgical treatment on his knee all the way in Switzerland.
Rice had knee issues in the postseason, and was seen using crutches after the divisional-round playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Coach Pete Carroll doesn’t seem concerned, and he doesn’t believe that Rice will miss any games. He expects him to come back with “fresh legs” and his knee in “even better” condition than before. While it was not revealed what type of treatment he would be getting, the blood-manipulation treatment called Regenokine has been widely suspected as the reason for his trip.
If Percy Harvin is out for any amount of time, they cannot afford to lose Rice either. It would be a major blow if both are out or hampered in any way.
