Maybe we knew Tennessee and Mississippi State were going to put up a lot of points.

However, 50 is not what I expected from either team.

The Volunteers are averaging 48.5 points per game this year, although one could point to their lack of a quality opponents. This week they'll get No. 2 Oregon, which should be a great test for them.

Likewise, Mississippi State faced a bad team in Alcorn State. But that still doesn't leave much hope for the Bulldogs as they enter SEC play. The Bulldogs were only able to garner three points against a decent Oklahoma State defense.
