Steele's B1G Bowl Projections Too Optimistic

Until Michigan impresses me, I'm not drinking the maize and blue Kool-Aid.

The schedule doesn't work in Michigan's favor. Early, you may see Michigan climb the Top 25, but don't be fooled. Flimsy foes could lead the Wolverines to a 6-1 record, but a road test against Michigan State on Nov. 2 precedes games against Nebraska, Northwestern, Iowa and Ohio State. I have them losing three of those five to finish with an 8-4 record.

Devin Gardner will have a good year at quarterback, but he doesn't have much help and there are plenty of questions on defense. Nebraska is a better team in that division and if MSU finds any semblance of an offense, it is too.

That being said, it is still No. 5 in the Big Ten, which means Steele is right on with the Gator Bowl.
