What a difference a defense makes. Fresh off of a one-catch, seven-yard performance in Week 4, Rueben Randle exploded for six catches on 13 targets for 96 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5. The difference, of course, was facing the Philadelphia Eagles defense rather than the defensive unit of the Kansas City Chiefs. While Randle is an intriguing young prospect and has the skills to be a fantasy force in New York, he won’t be a reliable weekly option while Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are in town. Add in the fact that the Giants are a wreck on offense, and you are going to need another cushy defensive matchup before Randle should be used in most formats. However, if bye weeks and the wrath of Julio have your team struggling, you could find worse options.
