NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal reported Sunday that Houston Texans RB Arian Foster had aggravated his hamstring injury and would not return for the remainder of the game.

Foster had been nursing the injury throughout the week, but was expected to be a full go come game time. He managed just four carries for 11 yards before being forced from the game. He was initially deemed questionable to return (which almost always means ‘will not return’), but was then seen on the sidelines in street clothes.

Luckily for Foster and the Texans, they are heading into their Week 8 bye which should give Foster plenty of time to rest up and get healthy. With Ben Tate backing Foster up, the Texans don’t have much to worry about. Tate looked sluggish as he found almost no openings against a stout Chiefs’ run defense Sunday. Even so, he is more than capable of shouldering the load (assuming he can stay healthy).

Fantasy owners are praying this is a non-issue moving forward. This is why we draft handcuffs. They eat a bench spot, but they provide the necessary insurance if our stud goes down.
