The Tennessee Titans have deactivated rookie WR Justin Hunter for violating team rules, according to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN. Details over the violation have not been made available.

Hunter has recently emerged as a big-play threat for the team. His snaps have been increasing as of late, and he’s rewarded the team with his strong play.

While he only had one reception for nine yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13, he came up big against the Oakland Raiders in Week 12 and the Denver Broncos in Week 14. Against the Raiders, he caught six passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. And against the Broncos, he went off for 114 yards and a touchdown on four receptions.

The 6-4, 196-pound receiver is one of the more enticing young receivers due to his explosive athleticism. The team can only hope that whatever he did to violate the team’s rules is not a recurring issue as they’ve had to deal with Kenny Britt’s antics for far too long.
