New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is expected to play QB Tom Brady in tonight’s preseason matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network.

How long Brady will be on the field remains to be seen, but he is likely to play a series or two with the starters and then give way to backups Ryan Mallett and Tim Tebow.

While it was slower paced, Brady fully participated in practice earlier today with no limitations. He also took part in practice yesterday while wearing a brace on his knee.

It appears that the injury scare from Wednesday can all but be forgotten. There are no indications that Brady has suffered any sort of setback, and his participation in live game action just two days after the incident only serves to reassure Patriots fans that all is well in New England.

The game will be broadcast on national TV on Fox at 8:00 p.m. ET.
