Following the 2012 season, Watts received an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, which prompted him to return to Tulsa for one more season. This decision should help his stock tremendously.

Watts is an explosive change-of-pace back with the speed and field vision to make the big play at any time. Watts is also a much tougher runner than expected, fighting through tackles despite his small size. Watts is also one of the most explosive kick and punt returners in the nation. He needs some work with his decision making, as he tends to take big risks quite often, but returning to Tulsa for his senior season should change that.
