Simmons is a gargantuan right guard for the Pirates. Simmons entered college as a 280-pound redshirt offensive lineman and has grown into the potential All American he is today.
Simmons has great skill in run blocking with a powerful burst off the line of scrimmage. Simmons also displays a powerful hand strike and good drive from his lower body. Simmons has very light feet for someone his size and is good in pass blocking, although he needs to work on bending at the knees, not his hips.
