LIONS (6-3) AT STEELERS (3-6)

Opening line: Lions -3

The Steelers hold a slight 15-14-1 advantage in the series. Pittsburgh has won three straight against the Lions and have won eight straight at home against Detroit. The Steelers scored 110 points in the last three games against the Lions and Detroit has scored under 22 points in eight straight games in the series. — Tapp

Detroit is in first place in the middle of December? It's true! With a potent offense and an athletic, hard-hitting defense, and the only healthy starting QB in the division, they control their own destiny the rest of the way. Pittsburgh is having its worst season in recent memory and will most likely have no answer for Megatron. They need help on both sides of the ball and will add another loss to their total. Anyone know if Optimus Prime is available on the waiver wire? — Josh Grossman

Two of three Steelers wins have come against rookie quarterbacks and the third came against a Ravens offense that is among the worst in football. Detroit has proven it can win on the road and has two playmakers (Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush) that Pittsburgh simply cannot defend all game long. — Orth
