Over the last few years, the Philadelphia Eagles have been miserable: they've been outplayed, out-coached and just plain disappointing.
The expectations in Philadelphia are always high, but after missing the playoffs for consecutive seasons, ownership had no choice but to make some big changes—and the Eagles' brass did just that when they brought in Chip Kelly, the offensive mastermind who conjured up mesmerizing schemes while leading Oregon's football program to national relevancy.
But before we start annointing Kelly as the man to bring the Eagles out of the dungeons of failure, let's try and remember that Kelly's rise to fame came by way of the college ranks.
