Bio

Born in Malmö on 3 October 1981, Zlatan Ibrahimović is considered one of the most talented strikers of his generation. Throughout his career, he has developed a reputation for scoring incredible goals, including a solo goal for Ajax in 2004 which was named by Eurosport viewers as the Goal of the Year, as well as a bicycle kick for Sweden against England in 2013, which earned him the FIFA Puskás Award. His playing style has drawn comparisons with the likes of Marco van Basten.

Ibrahimović began his professional career at Swedish club Malmö FF and although the club struggled in the league, he caught the eye of several European managers. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger attempted to sign the striker in 2001, but later that year, he agreed to join Ajax. After breaking into the Ajax first team during Ronald Koeman's time as head coach, Ibrahimović helped the side to Eredivisie titles in 2001–02 and 2003–04.

The summer of 2004 saw Zlatan move to Serie A, where he joined Juventus and helped them to back-to-back league titles in 2004–05 and 2005–06, although these were later revoked as a result of the Calciopoli scandal. Ahead of the 2006-07 season, he moved to Inter, where he won three Serie A titles, in 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09. A short stint at Barcelona followed, where he helped them to win the 2009–10 La Liga title, as well as the FIFA World Club Cup. After falling out with manager Pep Guardiola, Ibrahimović returned to Italy to play for AC Milan and was able to pick up yet another league title in 2010-11. Then, he moved to Paris Saint Germain in 2012 and scored 30 goals in 34 league games as they won the 2012-13 Ligue 1 title.

At international level, Zlatan captains Sweden and was named in the Team of the Tournament for his performances at UEFA Euro 2012.
