Boston College coach happy with recruits
http://news.bostonherald.com/sports/...Eagles_landed/
Of the 16 football recruits who signed with Boston College yesterday, not one rates as a “five-star” prospect. That will have recruiting experts predicting doom for the Eagles, but it’s fine with Frank Spaziani, who was promoted from defensive coordinator to head coach Jan. 13 after Jeff Jagodzinski’s messy departure. The unassuming Spaziani is more concerned with production than predictions. And based on the success BC has had with unheralded prospects - 2008 NFL Rookie of the Year Matt Ryan the most notable - Spaziani believes his first recruiting class has the potential to make an impact at The Heights. “We like to think coaching has something to do with the outcomes of the games,” Spaziani said. “If it was all about recruiting, they’re probably paying me too much money.” |
