editor1  |Jul 01,2008

CORVALLIS, Oregon (Ticker) -- Oregon State senior safety Bryan
Payton has left the program, the school announced Tuesday.

Oregon State provided no reason for the departure of Payton, who
played in 27 games during his two seasons with the Beavers,
including six starts. He recorded 73 tackles and three
interceptions in his Oregon State career.

"I want to thank Bryan for his contributions to our program and
wish him well in his future endeavors," Oregon State coach Mike
Riley said.

The Beavers open their 2008 season at Stanford on August 28.
