Chicago Bears DRAFTS

Review all the Chicago Bears draft picks and find out how they’re progressing throughout the season. Tight End Greg Olsen was hampered by an injury for the early part of the season, but his performance in the victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 5 proved that this first round pick out of Miami can do some damage. Taking DE Dan Bazuin with the 62nd overall pick will eventually help bolster a D-line that desperately needs some reinforcing. Unfortunately, Bazuin needed to have a surgery to repair his left knee. He’s out for the year. Local product Garrett Wolfe has seen some action on the field. The third round pick is the third running back on the depth chart. LB Michael Okwo was also taken in the third round, but he’ll have to wait to earn playing time in Chicago’s talented linebacker corps. He was placed on IR in early September.  Almost all of the other draft picks from 2007 are serving as backups: Josh Beekman (OG, Boston College), Kevin Payne (CB/S, UL-Monroe), Corey Graham (CB, New Hampshire) and Trumaine McBride (CB, Mississippi). Seventh round pick Aaron Brant (OT, Iowa State) is not on the active roster.
