1976 NFL Playoffs

The Oakland Raiders defeated the New England Patriots 24-21 in the AFC divisional round. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Colts 40-14 to advance to the AFC Championship Game.

The Minnesota Vikings beat the Washington Redskins 35-20 to advance to the NFC Championship Game. In the other divisional game, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Dallas Cowboys 14-12.

The Oakland Raiders defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-7 to win the AFC crown. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Los Angeles Rams 24-13 for the NFC title.

The Oakland Raiders defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI. It was the first time the top seeds from each conference met in the Super Bowl.
