In the other contest, the Minnesota Vikings beat the Los Angeles Rams 14-7. The Denver Broncos defeated the Oakland Raiders 20-17 to capture their first AFC crown. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-6 in the NFC Championship Game. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Denver Broncos 27-10 in Super Bowl XII.
