1988 NFL Playoffs

The Houston Oilers beat the Cleveland Browns 24-23 in the AFC wild card game. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Los Angeles Rams 28-17 in the NFC wild card game.

In the AFC divisional round, the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Seattle Seahawks 21-13 and the Buffalo Bills defeated the Houston Oilers 17-10.

In the NFC divisional round, the Chicago Bears beat the Philadelphia Eagles 20-12 and the San Francisco 49ers crushed the Minnesota Vikings 34-9.

The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Buffalo Bills 21-10 in the AFC Championship Game. The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Chicago Bears 28-3 in the NFC Championship Game.

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 20-16 in Super Bowl XXIII.
