1989 NFL Playoffs

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 21-7 in the NFC wild card game. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Houston Oilers 26-23 in overtime in the AFC wild card game.

In the AFC divisional round, the Cleveland Browns beat the Buffalo Bills 34-30 and the Denver Broncos beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-23.

In the NFC divisional round, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Minnesota Vikings 41-13 and the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 19-13.

The Denver Broncos defeated the Cleveland Browns 37-21 in the AFC Championship Game. The San Francisco 49ers trounced the Los Angeles Rams 30-3 in the NFC Championship Game.

The San Francisco 49ers crushed the Denver Broncos 55-10 in Super Bowl XXIV.
