1990 NFL Playoffs

The playoffs expanded to 12 teams. The Washington Redskins defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 20-6 in one NFC wild card game. The Chicago Bears beat the New Orleans Saints 16-6 in the other NFC wild card game. The Miami Dolphins beat the Kansas City Chiefs in one AFC wild card game. The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Houston Oilers 41-14 in the other AFC wild card game.

In the AFC divisional round, the Los Angeles Raiders beat the Cincinnati Bengals 20-10 and the Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins 44-34.

In the NFC divisional round, the New York Giants trounced the Chicago Bears 31-3 and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Washington Redskins 28-10.

The Buffalo Bills hammered the Los Angeles Raiders 51-3 in the AFC Championship Game. The New York Giants pulled out a 15-13 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

The New York Giants defeated the Buffalo Bills 20-19 in Super Bowl XXV.
