1996 NFL Playoffs

The Jacksonville Jaguars upset the Buffalo Bills 30-27 and the Pittsburgh Steelers trounced the Indianapolis Colts 42-14 in the AFC wild card games. The Dallas Cowboys crushed the Minnesota Vikings 40-15 and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 14-0 in the NFC wild card games.

In the AFC divisional round, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Denver Broncos 30-27 and the New England Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-3.

In the NFC divisional round, the Green Bay Packers beat the San Francisco 49ers 35-14 and the Carolina Panthers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 26-17.

The New England Patriots beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-6 in the AFC Championship Game. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Carolina Panthers 30-13 in the NFC Championship Game.

The Green Bay Packers beat the New England Patriots 35-21 in Super Bowl XXXI.
