2004 NFL Playoffs

The New York Jets defeated the San Diego Chargers 20-17 in overtime and the Indianapolis Colts beat the Denver Broncos 49-24 in the AFC wild card round. The St. Louis Rams beat the Seattle Seahawks 27-20 and the Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers 31-17 in the NFC wild card round.

In the AFC divisional round, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the New York Jets 20-17 in overtime and the New England Patriots defeated the Indianapolis Colts 20-3.

In the NFC divisional round, the Atlanta Falcons crushed the St. Louis Rams 47-17 and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings 27-14.

The New England Patriots defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 41-27 in the AFC Championship Game. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Atlanta Falcons 27-10 in the NFC Championship Game.

The New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21 in Super Bowl XXXIX.
