2005 NFL Playoffs

The New England Patriots beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-3 and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 31-17 in the AFC wild card round. The Carolina Panthers shut out the New York Giants 23-0 and the Washington Redskins beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17-10 in the NFC wild card round.

In the AFC divisional round, the Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots 27-13 and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Indianapolis Colts 21-18.

In the NFC divisional round, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Washington Redskins 20-10 and the Carolina Panthers defeated the Chicago Bears 29-21.

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Denver Broncos 34-17 in the AFC Championship Game. The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Carolina Panthers 34-14 in the NFC Championship Game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 in Super Bowl XL.
