1970 Pro Bowl

Team Doc  |Dec 05,2007
The 1970 Pro Bowl, won by the West 16-13 over the East at the Los Angeles Coliseum, marked
the last all-star classic before the merger between the NFL and AFL.

Chicago Bears Hall of Fame running back Gayle Sayers walked away with top offensive game honors, rushing for 75 yards on nine carries. Quarterback Roman Gabriel also starred, diving in from a yard out for a score and hitting Green Bay's Carroll Dale with a 28-yard spiral for another.

Cowboys' linemen George Andrie was tabbed the game's most valuable defender, as the West eased away with a 13-7 series advantage over the East in the pre-merger era.
