Kansas City's Jan Stenerud bagged four field goals in the AFC's 26-13 win over the NFC in 1972 Pro Bowl. Stenerud was selected as the game's offensive MVP, sharing top honors with KC teammate Willie Lanier who was tabbed as the game's defensive star. The game marked the last time the contest would feature dual MVP selections. Miami running back Mercury Morris also starred, accounting for 42 yards on one key second half scoring drive alone. A crowd of nearly 54,000, one of the largest in Pro Bowl history, took in the contest at Coliseum in Los Angeles.
