1981 Pro Bowl

Rookie Detroit Lions kicker Eddie Murray booted four field goals in the 1981 Pro Bowl, as the NFC erased an early deficit in downing the AFC 21-7 before more than 50,000 at Aloha Stadium.

Murray connected from 34, 36 and twice from 31 yards in earning game MVP honors. Behind the stellar play of linemen Lee Roy Selmon, Jack Reynolds and Bob Breunig, the NFC held the explosive AFC offense to just one score, with Selmon's four tackle, two sacks performance earning him game MVP honors.

Murray just missed tying Garo Yepremian's record of five field goals in a game when his 37-yard attempt hit the crossbar late in the fourth quarter.
