1986 Pro Bowl

New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms' second half heroics were enough to earn him game MVP honors and a victory in the 1986 Pro Bowl, as the NFC stormed back for an improbable 28-24 victory at Aloha Stadium.

Simms completed 15 of 27 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns in leading the NFC back from a 24-7 halftime deficit. His 15-yard scoring spiral to Tampa Bay's Jimmie Giles with 2:47 remaining proved the game winner.

Oakland's Marcus Allen scored on a 2-yard run and tossed a 51-yard option pass score to San Diego's Wes Chandler.
