The NFC used a pair of third-quarter defensive touchdowns to storm past the AFC 27-21 in the 1990 Pro Bowl in Honolulu. St. Louis Rams cornerback Jerry Gray picked off a Warren Moon pass and returned it 51-yards for a score, then watched Minnesota's Keith Millard scoop up a fumble and return it eight yards for a score. When its defense wasn't cashing in, the NFC used a pair of long field goals by Detroit's Eddie Murry to forge an early 6-0 lead. Philadelphia's Randall Cunningham and New York's Dave Meggett connected on an eleven yard pass play to provide the NFC with its final score. But in the end, it was all about the defense, as Gray walked away with game MVP honors.
