Jacksonville's Mark Brunell came on to led a second half surge that led the AFC to a 26-23 overtime win over the NFC in the 1999 Pro Bowl. Green Bay's Brett Favre got things rolling by hitting Minnesota's Randall McDaniel on a five-yard tackle eligible score midway through the first quarter. A 20-yard field goal by Seattle's John Karsay and a six-yard run by Detroit's Barry Sanders gave the NFC a 15-3 third-quarter lead before the AFC scored the next two touchdowns to take a lead it never relinquished. Brunell's 80-yard bomb to Oakland's Tim Brown forged overtime at 23-23, setting the stage for Indianapolis' Cary Blanchard's 41-yard game-winning field goal early in the extra session. Brunell finished 12 of 22 for 236 yards to win MVP honors.
