2001 Pro Bowl

The 2001 Pro Bowl generated the game's second sellout in history, as fans from far and wide came to enjoy Oakland's Jon Gruden and Minnesota's Dennis Green trade offensive blows.

Both coaches were renown for their high-powered West Coast offenses and early on the game provided much of the explosiveness many expected. Gruden's regular season quarterback, Rich Gannon, got the AFC off to a rousing start, connecting on a pair of first quarter TD strikes.

Gannon hit Kansas City's Tony Gonzalez and Indianapolis' Marvin Harrison in stride from eight and 16-yards out and the AFC never looked back in posting a 38-17 victory. Gannon's feats earned him the first of his two back-to-back game MVP awards.
