2002 Pro Bowl

Oakland's Rich Gannon became the Pro Bowl's first modern day back-to-back MVP game winner in leading the AFC to a 38-30 victory over the NFC in the 2002 Pro Bowl in Honolulu.

Gannon passed for 137 yards and two scores in less than a quarter of work in setting the tone for the victors. In all the 2002 game featured four touchdown passes, the other two courtesy of Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb over the last two quarters.

Gannon's heroics placed him alongside the likes of Johnny Unitas (1960, 1961), Jim Brown (1962, 1963) and Gayle Sayers (1967, 1968), all of whom took MVP honors during consecutive years when the game featured winners from both teams.
