The 2006 Pro Bowl took on the face of its defensive-minded coaches, Denver's Mike Shanahan and Carolina's John Fox, in bolstering the game's 27th consecutive sellout at Hawaii's Aloha Stadium. The game featured an assortment of sacks, fumbles and interceptions, the last of which was ran back by Tampa Bay's Derrick Brooks midway through the first quarter in what proved to be a score that gave the NFC the lead for good in their 23-17 victory. Playing in his ninth Pro Bowl, Brooks also snared game MVP honors, becoming the first defensive player to do so since the Rams Jerry Graham in 2006.
