By the half, they were up 28-10, and the outmatched San Diego Chargers squad was doing everything they possibly could to stay on the field with a dominant 49ers offense led by QB Steve Young. Ultimately, the evening was all about Steve Young's performance, as he was the game's leading rusher with 49 yards on the ground, and the game's leading passer, throwing for 325 yards and 5 touchdowns en route to winning Super Bowl MVP honors.
