Super Bowl XXVII

Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills

Date: January 31, 1993
Host City: Pasadena, CA
Stadium: Rose Bowl
National Anthem: Garth Brooks
Halftime Entertainment: Michael Jackson
MVP: Troy Aikman – Quarterback, Dallas Cowboys
Final Score: Dallas-52 Buffalo-17

The first quarter resembled a football game. After that point, it can be easily stated that the Dallas Cowboys put on a dominant performance like few others in Super Bowl history. Forcing 9 total, the Cowboys were in a position in which they literally could not lose. The Bills starting QB, Jim Kelly, was knocked out of the game early as the result of a Ken Norton Jr. hit; although Kelly's back up, Frank Reich, had played well for an injured Kelly during the playoffs, he was simply not up to task on this final day of January. Troy Aikman led the Dallas passing attack, throwing for 273 yards and 4 TDs, while Emmitt Smith helped Dallas control the clock on the ground.
