Super Bowl XXX

Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Date: January 28, 1996
Host City: Tempe, AZ
Stadium: Sun Devil Stadium
National Anthem: Vanessa Williams
Halftime Entertainment: Diana Ross
MVP: Larry Brown – Cornerback, Dallas Cowboys
Final Score: Dallas-27 Steelers-17

After a year's absence, the Dallas Cowboys returned to Super Bowl XXX with a vengeance, and a new Super Bowl opponent. The Cowboys would waste no time getting the party started, jumping to an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter. The Cowboys would never look back, moving the ball strategically on offense, and gathering two interceptions from Steelers QB Neil O'Donnell. Emmitt Smith would rush for two touchdowns in the game, and Troy Aikman would throw for one, with kicker Chris Boniol adding 6 points via field goals. Larry Brown, the defensive back that was fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of the two O'Donnell interceptions was named MVP.
