Super Bowl XXXIV St. Louis Rams vs. Tennessee Titans Date: January 30, 2000 Host City: Atlanta, GA Stadium: Georgia Dome National Anthem: Faith Hill Halftime Entertainment: Phil Collins, Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Edward James Olmos MVP: Kurt Warner – Quarterback, St. Louis Rams Final Score: St. Louis-23 Tennessee-16 It was one of the most entertaining Super Bowls in recent years, beginning with a defensive battle, and ending appropriately on a play that has since become referred to as “The Tackle.” Though it seemed the Rams and their “Greatest Show on Turf” were in control of the game from the onset, Tennessee was able to sneak back into the picture late in the game with a chance to tie the score as time expired. The catch by Titans WR Kevin Dyson put him in position to tie the game, yet Rams linebacker Mike Jones made the game saving tackle on the 1 yard line, giving the Rams their first Super Bowl victory. Kurt Warner threw for 414 yards, 2 TDs and no INTs en route to being named the game's Most Valuable Player. Check out the summaries for Super Bowl XXXIII and Super Bowl XXXV.
