Here’s a look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2007 draft class. First round pick Gaines Adams (DE) was an excellent selection especially with Simeon Rice getting unceremoniously cut this year. Tampa Bay’s second round pick, left guard Arron Sears has earned a top spot on the depth chart. Tampa’s other second round pick, safety Sabby Piscitelli, was placed on injured reserve in late September after suffering a foot injury. Third round pick Quincy Black is backing up linebacker Cato June. Fourth rounder Tanard Jackson is Will Allen’s backup at free safety. Fifith round selection Greg Peterson is currently a backup DT. Sixth round pick Adam Hayward is the backup for LB Derrick Brooks. The Bucs had three selections in the seventh round. Tackle Chris Denman was cut from the team before the start of the regular season. Cornerback Marcus Hamilton was jettisoned from the practice squad in early October, and running back Kenneth Darby was activated from the practice squad at the same time.
