Bears sign S Steltz

LAKE FOREST, Illinois The Chicago Bears on Monday signed rookie
safety Craig Steltz to a four-year contract.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A fourth-round pick out of Louisiana State, Steltz is the
seventh player signed by the Bears from this year's draft.
Steltz finished his career ranked fifth in school history in
passes defended (34) and sixth in interceptions (11).
In 44 career games, including 20 starts, Steltz tallied 184
tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble
recoveries.
