Brady to miss preseason game

editor1  |Aug 17,2008

BOSTON (Ticker) -- New England Patriots record-setting
quarterback Tom Brady will miss Sunday night's preseason game
against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a sore foot, according to
a published report.

Citing an NFL source, the Boston Globe reported Brady did not
make the trip to Florida due to the injury. It is unknown which
foot is causing Brady problems.

Brady, whose injured right ankle was a daily topic leading up to
last season's Super Bowl, did not practice Friday.

Brady, who threw a single-season record 50 touchdowns last
season in leading the Patriots to a 16-0 regular season, also
missed the exhibition opener against Baltimore.

With Brady sidelined, Matt Cassel, Matt Gutierrez and Kevin
O'Connell are expected to split time at quarterback.
