editor1  |Aug 27,2008

MIAMI (Ticker) -- The Miami Dolphins on Wednesday released
veteran safety Keith Davis.

Davis, 29, joined his former coach Bill Parcells in Miami when
he signed a two-year deal in March worth a reported $3.5
million. Parcells, who coached Davis with the Dallas Cowboys,
is the executive vice president of football operations with the
Dolphins.

A special teams ace, Davis recorded 18 tackles in 14 games with
the Cowboys last season. The five-year veteran has registered
132 tackles in 68 career contests - all with Dallas.
