Dolphins trade QB McCown to Panthers

editor1  |Aug 29,2008

MIAMI (Ticker) -- The Miami Dolphins traded quarterback Josh
McCown to the Carolina Panthers for an undisclosed 2009 draft
pick on Friday.

Prior to Chad Pennington's arrival, McCown was in the mix to
become the starter under center for the Dolphins, who will
attempt to rebound from a dismal 1-15 season.

The 29-year-old McCown passed for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns
with 11 interceptions in 2007 with the Oakland Raiders. The
seven-year veteran has thrown 35 touchdowns and 40 interceptions
in 44 career games with the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and
Raiders.
