Eagles RB Westbrook active for Redskins game

editor1  |Oct 05,2008

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian
Westbrook is active for Sunday's game against the Washington
Redskins.

Westbrook, who sat out last week's 24-20 loss to the Chicago
Bears with a sprained right ankle, had been listed as
questionable all week. Westbrook suffered the injury against
the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 21.

Westbrook, who is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons,
already has five touchdowns this season. He scored three
touchdowns in a 33-25 victory over Washington in November 2007.

Tight end L.J. Smith, who missed the Chicago game with a back
injury, also was on the active list for the game.

Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews, who has been sidelined the last
two weeks with a back injury, is active and will miss his third
straight game.
