Falcons release WR Gonzalez

FLOWERY BRANCH, Georgia (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Falcons on
Friday released wide receiver Tony Gonzalez, who was originally
signed as a rookie free agent on May 19.
The 5-10, 192-pound Gonzalez played for three seasons at Boston
College, where he was a teammate of quarterback Matt Ryan, the
Falcons' first-round pick in this year's draft.
