HEMPSTEAD, New York (Ticker) -- Brett Favre said Wednesday
morning that his right arm felt "fatigued" as he took time out
to meet with the media following his fifth practice as a member
of the New York Jets.
Acquired from the Green Bay Packers last week, Favre has been
practicing with his new team since Saturday. He is scheduled to
start Saturday's preseason game against the Washington Redskins.
"My arm's kind of dragging a little bit today," Favre said after
Wednesday's morning practice. "It's not really sore, but just
fatigued."
Favre, who owns virtually every NFL passing record, was not
surprised by how he's feeling.
"No pain, but I'm 38 years old," he said. "It's going to be
fatigued a little bit."
Jets coach Eric Mangini had yet to speak to Favre prior to
meeting members of the media before the afternoon practice.
"We only have two practices left before the game and we do
monitor stuff," Mangini said. "You guys talked to him more than
I did, so I don't really know where he is with that."
