editor1  |May 25,2008

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) - Thomas McHale, a former offensive
lineman with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was found dead in a
friend's home Sunday morning. He was 45.

According to the Tampa Tribune's web site, authorities do not
believe foul play was involved in McHale's death.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of McHale's death,
with the results of toxicology tests taking up to six weeks,
the web site reported.

Deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office received a call
from an unidentified friend of McHale at 9:19 a.m. Sunday

McHale played for the Buccaneers for six seasons (1987-1992) and
had stints with a couple of other teams before retiring in
1995.
