Jaguars sign WR Thorpe

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars on
Monday signed free agent wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe and
waived wide receiver Derrek Richards.
Thorpe, 24, played in five games for the Indianapolis Colts last
season, recording 12 receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown.
He also returned 15 kickoffs for 318 yards and six punts for 31
yards.
The Florida native originally was taken by the Kansas City
Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2005 draft out of Florida
State.
Richards was signed by the Jaguars on May 16 as an undrafted
rookie out of Utah.
