Jets sign rookie TE Keller

HEMPSTEAD, New York (Ticker) -- The New York Jets signed rookie
tight end Dustin Keller on Friday.
The 30th overall selection in this year's draft, Keller likely
will compete for a starting role with the Jets following an
outstanding collegiate career at Purdue.
The 6-2, 248-pound Keller hauled in 68 receptions for 881 yards
and seven touchdowns last season.
More suited to the H-back position, Keller must improve his
strength and blocking to become an every-down tight end in the
NFL.
In another roster move Friday, the Jets waived rookie cornerback
Jonathan Zenon, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent
after a successful senior season at reigning national champion
Louisiana State.
